COMMENTS:
Named for the Greek philosopher, Pythagoras Crater is 130 km (81 miles) in diameter and can be found near the northwestern lunar limb.  The double central peak towers 1.5 km (4,921 feet) above the crater floor.  The terraced walls rise to heights of 5 km (3.1 miles).  This image was acquired just 1.45 days before Full Moon.
