Another
one of my first decent images of the Sun in Hydrogen
Alpha. Gave up on trying to obtain disk details and prominences
in one set of images. Took one shorter exposure for disk detail
and a longer exposure for prominences. Notice the two large
sunspots with their dark umbra and surrounding penumbra.
The spot toward the bottom is probably dust. This imaged placed
first in the Webcam/Digital Camera category at NIAG Fest on April 23,
2005.
