Believe it or not this photograph was taken during
totality. The Moon just barely crept into the Earth's Umbra on
November 8th, but it was close enough to call it a Total Lunar
Eclipse. Notice how spectacular Tycho's crater rays are
displayed. This photo also placed first in the solar system
category of the astrophotography contest held at the 2004 NIAG
Fest/GreatCon star party (near North Webster, Indiana). |
